Documentary Wedding Photographers

Welcome to our website.

You've found two passionate photographers working together to tell both sides of your story.

Our unique style of documentary wedding photography captures all the moments of your day beautifully, unobtrusively and from both of your perspectives. Having two of us means every part of your day is documented- the bits you're there for, and the ones you're not, and we don't just get the action, we get the reactions too.

We are proud to be based in Devon, in the glorious South West of England, but we love to travel, so get in touch to chat about your destination wedding. You can find out about how we work, and our wedding day packages on our information page.

We are Pip and Simon, and this is how we tell the story of a wedding.

Dear Simon and Pip,

It is impossible to convey how truly ecstatic we both are with the photos you both captured of our special day. The whole album is beyond our expectations and we couldn't be happier with the final images. From the get go we knew we were on to a winner with you two, you both fitted into the day seamlessly and couldn't have worked any harder to help capture the images we wanted. We felt utterly relaxed with you both and that is a credit to your wonderful personalities, professionalism and talent. It didn't go unnoticed that you stayed to achieve our final images and everyone commented on how lovely you were. Thank you once again for your amazing work, we honestly couldn't recommend you highly enough!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Photojournalistic Style Wedding Photography Devon

Why is wedding photography even a thing? Your wedding is probably the biggest celebration you’ll throw during your lifetime. You’ll give it hours and hours of thought and consideration, often spanning months, sometimes even years, carefully planning every detail, the big ones and the tiny ones, to make sure you and your loved ones have a day you’ll never forget. But it is only one day, so making sure you hire the right photographer to preserve those moments for a lifetime, is key. As Devon wedding photographers, that’s where we come in.

Why We Decided to Become Wedding Photographers

We often get asked why we decided to become wedding photographers and the answer is easy – because we love photographing real people, with real connections. If you think about it, a wedding is an event like no other. The day goes through several different phases, each of which evokes very different emotions, reactions and interactions. Each wedding day starts with two separate families, who may not know each other very well, and ends with them all now part of a great big, brand new family!

Documentary or Photojournalistic Style Photography

It’s exciting, monumental, emotional and fun, all at once; a roller-coaster of a story played out in just one day. Which is exactly why, as photographers, we work in a documentary, or, photojournalistic style. Photojournalism is the term used to describe telling a story through pictures, and that’s exactly what we do with our hands-off approach to our wedding photography. You won’t hear us asking anybody to do anything for the camera or to smile for us. Our aim is to give you a beautifully visual photographic narrative of your real day, the wedding and moments that really happened, as they happened, not a fake, camera-aware version that doesn’t represent who you really are as a couple, and as families and friends.

Photography Services in North and South Devon

You may have noticed that creating beautiful environmental portraits of the two of you is also something we get just a little bit excited about. It’s fair to say that we are spoilt with the variety of epic landscapes Devon has to offer, and we feel that both the two of you, and the location you have chosen to marry in, deserve to be photographed with exactly the same expertise, craftsmanship and artistry as you’d expect from a studio setting.

We are very lucky to be based in the incredibly gorgeous Devon and not only do we cover all areas of North and South Devon, but we love travelling further afield too. So if you have plans to marry elsewhere within the UK or are hoping for a destination wedding abroad, we’d love to hear all about it.
