Kirsty and Marcus headed back to Marcus’s roots, choosing his stunning family farm, the place where he spent his childhood, as their very own, unique wedding venue.
Following the ‘keeping it in the family’ theme, the wedding itself took place in the quintessential, picturesque Payhembury Church and was conducted by Marcus’s cousin, who had taken up residence for one very special day only. The ceremony was brimming over with personality and genuine warmth, full of funny stories from Marcus’s childhood. Once the laughter had subsided, the new Mr and Mrs were led, beaming, up the aisle by the bagpipes, celebrating Kirsty’s Scottish heritage.
From there, everybody headed back to the farm to enjoy cocktails in the sun in the beautiful gardens; the stunning handiwork of Marcus’s Mum, Pip (I know, awesome name, right?), before heading into the marquee for raucously funny and tear-jerkingly touching speeches. The band got the party into full swing while the sun set across the fields. A happy, happy day celebrating the joining of two wonderful families.
