Let us introduce you to Cadhay Manor, a 16th century Tudor house that is one of the prettiest, quintessentially English Manor Houses we have ever had the delight of working at. It is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in a variety of locations; three rooms within the manor house itself , which are perfect for smaller gatherings of up to 40 people, and 3 further locations, accommodating up to 110 people, including the Bothy in the incredibly beautiful water gardens, under a perfect rose arch (no exaggeration, it is absolutely gorgeous!).
Based in rural Devon, surrounded by green hills, walking into Cadhay feels like stepping back in time. Time itself seems to slow a little, and as you explore the extensive grounds with expansive lawns, a huge wildlife pond and flower beds abundant with colourful blooms, the atmosphere feels somehow more gentle. Utterly blissful, in fact. Why not, then, extend your wedding celebrations and stay a while? You are very welcome to have Cadhay, with accommodation for up to 22 guests in the main house and a further 14 in the self contained holiday cottages, for a long weekend, or even a week.
You only need to take a look at Dan and Alice’s gloriously sunny Summer wedding here on the blog, to see just how special this venue is, and why it is an utter joy of a location for us as wedding photographers.
